Context:
FGS Kelvyn was manually feeding their two Mueller Martini Bravo Plus Saddle Stitchers and looking for a way to reduce manning and increase throughput speeds.
Solution:
Systems Technology Inc. provided SuperFeeder TAB hopper loaders with Log Extension Conveyors. STI also provided 2 gantries with rotating bundle clamps. Aside from meeting their objectives of reducing manning and increasing throughput speeds, the SuperFeeders also reduce workman’s compensation claims and improve feeding consistency by tightly controlling the height of the signature stack in the pocket improving overall net productivity of the saddle stitcher.
